Capitol Hill Station

Seattle, Washington

The Capitol Hill Light Rail Station was the first new station on Sound Transit’s University Link Rail line. It has three above ground entrance structures leading into the underground cut and cover station box.

For this project Christine was the architectural project manager and the contract unit manager leading the design team through the final design phase, while at Hewitt. ScharrerAD continued to work on the station – with artist Ellen Forney to design details for the installation and framing of her wonderful murals. The station began construction in 2013 and opened early 2016.
